This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +6 more states.
β’ Direct the performance of the MSL team by establishing business objectives and priorities to ensure the successful delivery of Medical Affairs plans and metrics.
β’ Lead, mentor, and oversee MSL team members to enhance performance and develop their capabilities.
β’ Articulate team vision and expectations while promoting continuous improvement.
β’ Formulate strategies, processes, and capabilities that enhance scientific engagement with external experts.
β’ Ensure that consolidated medical insights are appropriately disseminated across the organization, representing external experts and patients.
β’ Integrate the MSL team within the Medical Affairs department and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
β’ Collaborate with sales leadership to align the efforts of Sales and MSL teams.
β’ Prioritize MSL activities, resources, staffing levels, and operational budgets.
β’ Recruit MSL talent and facilitate their onboarding process.
β’ Ensure adherence to GSK standards, policies, local codes of practice, guidelines, and regulations.
β’ Accredited doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science field (Pharm.D., D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., or M.D./D.O.).
β’ A minimum of six years of experience within an MSL organization.
β’ At least one year of proven experience in leading a field team.
β’ Two or more years of experience in the Vaccines or Infectious Disease area.
β’ Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
β’ Demonstrated experience in coaching, leading, and managing individuals to drive improved performance.
β’ Strong communication skills at all levels within the organization.
β’ A solid business acumen with the ability to balance cross-functional goals.
β’ Leadership experience in a matrix environment with a track record of excellence in cross-functional collaboration to achieve business-focused outcomes.
β’ Effective networking and collaboration skills to deliver business results.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical governance landscape.
β’ Significant operational management experience, including resource allocation, budgeting, and project evaluation.
β’ Strong negotiation and strategic influencing capabilities.
β’ Understanding of clinical development, as well as statistical design and analysis.
β’ Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
