This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Accountable for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the effective implementation of modernization initiatives that support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Veterans Family Member Program (VFMP) Modernization Portfolio.
• Oversees projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring that all scope, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements are fulfilled while facilitating the ongoing delivery of modernization solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.
• Acts as the main coordinator among Government stakeholders, Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), vendors, and technical teams to guarantee that projects are delivered fully, without barriers or incomplete solutions.
• Directs the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of modernization initiatives within the VFMP Modernization Portfolio.
• Ensures that all project deliverables are completed in line with contract requirements, Government standards, and approved project governance processes.
• Provides clear guidance to project teams by outlining work requirements, assigning responsibilities, identifying priorities, and establishing the most effective route for successful project completion.
• Coordinates cross-functional efforts involving business, operational, technical, and vendor stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identifies, manages, and mitigates project risks, dependencies, and issues that may affect project success, with a particular focus on EDI-related dependencies.
• Supports modernization initiatives that enhance efficiency across high-volume business operations.
• Monitors project performance using established metrics and delivers regular status updates to Government leadership and stakeholders.
• Facilitates communication among Government program offices, contractors, vendors, and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
• Bachelor's degree
• PMP certification
• 4 years of experience supporting a government agency or a large healthcare organization
