Project Manager – Data Center, Construction & Commissioning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete execution and delivery process for data center and commercial projects, from project award to commissioning and closeout.

• Oversee schedules, resources, logistics, budgets, milestones, and commitments to customers.

• Proactively identify and address issues before they affect project outcomes.

• Direct daily project operations, including internal and client meetings, site visits, and field coordination.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Field Services.

• Act as the primary customer-facing leader, engaging with customers, suppliers, contractors, and commissioning teams.

• Manage the financial and operational performance of projects, encompassing budgets, forecasting, documentation, reporting, risk mitigation, and change management.

• Assist in proposal and bid development activities while tracking the project pipeline.

• Identify forthcoming projects and strategic opportunities for early customer engagement and business expansion.

• Recognize cost-saving opportunities, enhance execution processes, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure successful project results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in leading projects, operations, supply chain, logistics, commercial operations, or customer-facing roles.

• Proven track record of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously within industrial services, construction, infrastructure, or similar environments.

• Strong skills in leadership, communication, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.

• Demonstrated success in driving results through cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% for customer meetings, site visits, project reviews, and commissioning support.

• Candidates are highly preferred to be based in the Chicago area; remote work arrangements may be available for exceptional candidates with relevant industry experience.
