This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conceptualize and design mobile application experiences within the Therabody app, focusing on onboarding, device pairing, guided routines, progress tracking, and personalized features.
• Develop essential UX deliverables, including user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs, tailored for iOS and Android platforms.
• Transform product requirements and user insights into seamless, functional designs based on mobile UX best practices.
• Collaborate with the product and data teams to gain insights into user behavior, identify friction points, and create enhancements that drive engagement and retention.
• Adhere to Therabody’s brand guidelines and mobile design system to maintain visual consistency throughout the app experience.
• Work alongside mobile engineers to ensure a smooth handoff of designs and perform quality assurance on implementations, considering platform-specific behaviors and limitations.
• Create and provide design variants for A/B testing and experiments aimed at enhancing key app metrics.
• Engage in user research, usability testing, and journey mapping to validate design choices and iterate based on findings.
• Over 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, specifically focused on native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)—experience with connected hardware or health and wellness applications is advantageous.
• A portfolio showcasing well-executed mobile app projects, including onboarding flows, feature designs, navigation patterns, and other fundamental app experiences.
• A strong passion for the health and wellness sector, with a desire to leverage technology to make a positive impact on lives.
• Expertise in Figma and experience working within established design systems and component libraries; practical knowledge of AI-driven design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Galileo, Relume, or similar) for accelerated concept development and iteration.
• Comprehensive understanding of the iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design principles.
• Experience in user research and usability testing, including rapid methods for idea validation.
• Familiarity with mobile-specific interaction patterns, gesture-based navigation, accessibility considerations, and performance limits.
• Experience designing for connected device ecosystems (Bluetooth pairing, device controls, real-time data visualization) is highly desirable.
• Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to accept feedback gracefully, communicate effectively, and operate swiftly in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate design rationale and trade-offs to stakeholders.
