This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
β’ Carry out UX research, focusing mainly on usability and quality-validation testing.
β’ Sustain the social and technical systems that ensure research is repeatable and scalable.
β’ Report to the design manager and collaborate with the current UX researcher, product designers, product managers, and engineers.
β’ Manage a backlog of studies, initially placing significant emphasis on one large ongoing project.
β’ Progress towards owning the research direction for one or more product areas with increasing independence.
β’ Oversee the complete study lifecycle from recruitment and scoping to analysis, communication of results, and collaboration on opportunities.
β’ Assess shipped features and confirm design assumptions.
β’ Guide designers and PMs through study design, interpretation of results, and subsequent steps.
β’ Develop reusable research enablement assets, templates, reference guides, skills, and workflows.
β’ Maintain and enhance the research library, including documentation, tagging, project organization, and discoverability.
β’ Administer and sustain the research tool stack and associated resources.
β’ Review ongoing feedback and ensure that issues and friction points are documented by relevant EPD pods.
β’ Manage the participant panel, invitations, list quality, and project clean-up.
β’ Process study compensation, manage receipts, and oversee study budget utilization.
β’ Handle vendor renewals and coordinate procurement with legal, finance, and the senior researcher.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research or a similar applied research domain.
β’ Strong skills in usability testing utilizing both qualitative and experimental methods.
β’ Proficiency in survey design.
β’ Capability to learn and implement higher-precision quantitative methods as required.
β’ A solid foundation in structured and semi-structured qualitative interviewing.
β’ Fluency in mixed-methods that encompass both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
β’ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt research findings for various audiences.
β’ Aptitude to advocate for insights in cross-functional environments.
β’ Experience in independently managing research logistics, including recruiting, scheduling, compensation, and study operations.
β’ Familiarity with developer tooling, enterprise, security, or networking.
