UX Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, design direction, and implementation of user-focused design initiatives.

• Lead a collaborative, cross-functional team of UX professionals while partnering with product managers, data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Articulate the vision, set design standards, and guarantee excellence in delivery across the Department of War (DoW).

• Enhance design quality, provide mentorship to team members, and actively engage in critical research and design tasks as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 8 years of experience in UX and UI design, with a strong background in creating comprehensive experiences for native applications.

• Proven capability to function as a design leader: establishing UX vision and standards, mentoring team members, and navigating cross-functional teams through uncertainty to successful delivery.

• Profound knowledge of UX strategy and systems thinking, along with experience in promoting user-centered design in Agile settings (SAFe or similar frameworks). Experience working with Defense, Civilian, or National Security clients is highly relevant.

• A Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Human Factors, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.
