This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the user experience for PressW's healthcare scheduling platform redevelopment (codenamed Phoenix), reporting to the Engineering Leadership team.
• Drive internal platform evaluations and customer research (Phases 0-2). Identify and map existing workflows, challenges, and user behaviors.
• Contribute to API design during backend service migrations (Phase 3). Ensure that REST API structures align with user workflows.
• Craft the overall user experience across two frontend segments: worker-facing (including schedule viewing, shift picking, messaging, and push notifications) and admin-facing (covering template management, schedule construction, reporting, and compliance).
• Develop and sustain the design system and component library.
• Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Conduct usability tests to confirm design choices.
• Engage in frontend rollout feedback: perform usability testing with actual users during rollout phases, synthesize feedback, and refine the design accordingly.
• Share research insights and design rationale during weekly UX reviews with the Frontend Lead and client product team.
• Extensive UX design experience for both web and mobile platforms.
• Proven ability to conduct user research and translate findings into actionable product design decisions.
• Experience in designing complex, workflow-intensive applications (such as scheduling, operations, admin tools, or similar).
• Familiarity with legacy system transformations: adept at understanding existing workflows to redesign them effectively while preserving successful elements.
• Capability to design for systems that involve APIs and data integrations, with insight into how backend architecture influences UX choices.
• Proficient in Figma or comparable design software.
• Excellent communication abilities. You will present research outcomes and substantiate design choices to both engineers and client stakeholders.
• Must have delivered significant design work within the past two years.
