UX Design Sprint Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in design sprints, workshops, and collaborative sessions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, business analysts, developers, and product teams to define and enhance user experiences.

• Transform complex business discussions into actionable design outputs.

• Develop user flows, workflow maps, wireframes, information architecture artifacts, and interactive prototypes.

• Iterate on concepts and design artifacts between workshop sessions.

• Assist in usability testing and validation efforts.

• Create materials and assets for future design sessions.

• Progress designs towards implementation.

• Support accessibility reviews and initiatives for inclusive design.

• Contribute to design system enhancements and UX reviews.

• Offer implementation support and assist with other UX priorities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional UX design experience.

• Extensive experience in creating user flows, wireframes, workflows, and interactive prototypes using Figma.

• Proven history of participating in design sprints, workshops, and collaborative sessions.

• Experience in working alongside business stakeholders, subject matter experts, business analysts, developers, and product teams.

• Demonstrated ability to design complex enterprise workflows or internal business applications.

• Skilled in translating ambiguous business discussions into clear and actionable design deliverables.

• Advanced proficiency in Figma.

• Expertise in user flows and workflow mapping.

• Proficient in wireframing and interactive prototyping.

• Knowledgeable in information architecture.

• Capable of providing workshop facilitation support.

• Experience in design sprint participation.

• Strong visual communication skills.

• Excellent stakeholder collaboration abilities.

• Experience in usability testing.

• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.

• Familiarity with design systems.

• Quick learner of unfamiliar business domains.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries (preferred).

• Background in lending, banking, insurance, agriculture, or related sectors (preferred).

• Experience designing internal operational tools and workflow-heavy applications (preferred).

• Knowledge of enterprise software and service design (preferred).

• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+) (preferred).

• Experience developing information architecture for complex systems (preferred).

• Background in working with design systems and component libraries (preferred).

• Experience supporting workshops, collaborative working sessions, and design sprint initiatives (preferred).
