Utility Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Support the cleanliness and sanitation of the camp.

• Deliver exceptional customer service.

• Engage in safety meetings and report any injuries or safety concerns.

• Provide coffee service and replenish beverage coolers, snacks, napkins, and condiments.

• Clean and organize kitchens, coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas.

• Sweep and mop floors as well as wipe down tables and counters.

• Wash dishes, pots, and pans, and manage garbage disposal.

• Notify the supervisor about food, safety, and equipment issues.

• Maintain and oversee inventory and records.

• Prepare dry stations for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

• Sanitize and restock coolers, condiments, napkins, and utensils.

• Prepare, portion, and wrap snacks as directed by the Chef.

• Clean and sanitize dining tables and replenish supplies.

• Continuously clean and maintain areas that require attention.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen, ideally in remote camps.

• Experience in a camp kitchen is a plus.

• Must possess a valid Food Safety Certificate.

• Strong communication skills; able to speak, read, and write in English.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently.

• Team-oriented.

• Ability to work diligently under pressure.

• Organized with strong time management abilities.

• Lead by example and set high expectations.

• Completion of LandSea and site-specific Orientation and Health and Safety is required.

• Must pass Drug and Alcohol Clearance.

• Must clear a Criminal Record Check.

• Completion of a Health Questionnaire is necessary.

• Valid Government Issued ID may be required for travel.

• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing.

• Willingness to wear uniforms and/or utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
