This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete commercial strategy, account plans, pipeline management, forecasting, and annual order and cash commitments for the designated portfolio.
• Foster trusted relationships with senior and executive customer leaders and position GE Vernova as a long-term strategic partner.
• Utilize knowledge of the utility sector to influence customer strategies and customize commercial solutions.
• Identify and cultivate opportunities for account expansion across various business units, service territories, and adjacent markets.
• Organize and lead cross-functional deal teams.
• Define transaction strategies, navigate commercial trade-offs, and structure, negotiate, and finalize large, complex contracts, including those worth $100 million or more.
• Convert portfolio strategies into account-specific pricing, positioning, and deal structures.
• Supervise studies, estimates, formal offerings, and requests for re-profiling or renegotiating existing agreements.
• Drive commercial commitments related to orders, margins, and cash flow.
• Keep track of regulatory changes, procurement trends, and competitive activities.
• Transform market insights into recommendations for pricing, product, and planning.
• Collaborate with global sales counterparts and adjacent GE Vernova businesses to expand cross-business opportunities.
• Mentor and develop Sales Managers and other commercial staff as applicable.
• Oversee performance, foster talent development, and effectively allocate the team across accounts and priorities where applicable.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, analytics, or a relevant field.
• Over 8 years of progressive sales experience.
• Proven history of closing large, complex, multi-year transactions, including deals exceeding $100 million.
• Willingness to travel 50% based on business requirements.
• Demonstrated experience within the utility, independent power producer (IPP), developer, or regulated energy sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of utility industry regulatory frameworks, rate cases, integrated resource planning, procurement processes, project economics, and financing.
• Proven success in consultative, insight-driven selling.
• Established network and credibility within the North American utility, IPP, developer, or similar energy sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of wind or similar markets for large, capital-intensive equipment, including competitor positioning.
• Strong negotiation skills based on data, regulatory insights, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional deal teams, build internal consensus, and develop commercial talent.
• Disciplined management of pipeline and forecasts using Salesforce or an equivalent CRM platform.
• Strong executive presence and business acumen.
