This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Evaluate electric service applications for the installation of both temporary and permanent overhead and underground utility and service facilities.
• Examine and provide feedback on project submissions throughout the entirety of the project life cycle.
• Review and promptly respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) with accuracy.
• Generate initial bills of materials and cost estimates for utility service applications.
• Conduct field inspections and prepare reports in compliance with client and municipal standards.
• Assemble comprehensive job packages that include all final details required for project construction.
• Verify design details such as structure types, conductor specifications, material standards, and constructability against utility standards.
• Participate in scheduling, coordination, and progress meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, including utility clients, contractors, developers, and other agencies.
• Collaborate efficiently within a team environment to achieve project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in utility distribution planning or electric utility project review.
• Knowledge of utility infrastructure planning workflows, which includes application review, RFI responses, cost estimation, and job package preparation.
• Working knowledge of NESC or comparable standards.
• Capability to conduct field inspections and document findings according to client or agency specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review submissions and meticulously check work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively engage with contractors, developers, and public agency stakeholders.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in utility infrastructure planning or electric utility project coordination.
• Preferred: Experience working with public utility clients (e.g., municipal utilities, public utility commissions).
• Preferred: Advanced understanding of NESC or similar standards.
• Preferred: Experience in preparing bills of materials, cost estimates, and construction-ready job packages.
• Preferred: Proficiency in MicroStation & O-Calc or similar tools for reviewing design submissions.
