
Utilities Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee utility installation projects for new Watermill Express units from the initial planning stage to completion, which includes water, sewer, and electrical connections.
• Collaborate with utility companies, municipalities, and permitting agencies to obtain service connections, easements, and necessary approvals.
• Plan and manage utility upgrade projects at current locations, prioritizing them based on operational requirements and budget considerations.
• Monitor project timelines, costs, and vendor performance; proactively identify and address delays or issues.
• Keep precise documentation of permits, utility agreements, contracts, and project files.
• Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and utility company codes and regulations.
• Report project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and cross-functional teams (Development, Operations, Construction).
• Travel to project and site locations as necessary to inspect work and resolve on-site issues.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance according to the required schedule.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and conduct oneself in a safe manner.
• Familiarity with utility systems (water, sewer, electrical) and municipal permitting processes.
• Capability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and vendors simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Experience in multi-unit retail, convenience store, or restaurant construction/development.
• Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Prior experience working directly with utility companies and municipal permitting offices.
