This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Collaborate with the Development team to ensure all development milestones are achieved before project handoff.
• Oversee the smooth transition of projects from Development to EPC execution.
• Provide both technical and operational insights during project design, engineering, constructability reviews, and pre-construction planning.
• Coordinate engineering support for permitting and development activities as necessary.
• Create detailed project execution plans, schedules, staffing strategies, and resource requirements.
• Develop and manage project budgets encompassing engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Monitor project expenses, predict spending, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to meet budget goals.
• Evaluate project performance using established metrics and deliver regular reports to executive leadership.
• Manage project timelines and ensure the timely completion of all critical milestones.
• Lead competitive bidding and procurement processes for equipment, materials, and construction services.
• Prepare bid packages, assess proposals, negotiate contracts, and provide recommendations for vendors.
• Ensure comprehensive scopes of work are defined for all service agreements.
• Assist in the development, negotiation, and execution of contracts for:
• EPC Agreements
• Construction Management Agreements
• Equipment Supply Agreements
• Warranty Agreements
• Commissioning Agreements
• Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
• Letters of Intent (LOIs)
• Term Sheets
• Review the commercial and execution terms of EPC contracts and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead project execution across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout phases.
• Coordinate efforts of internal teams and external contractors, including civil, mechanical, electrical, interconnection, and quality assurance personnel.
• Organize and facilitate regular project meetings to share project status, assign tasks, and address issues.
• Ensure contractors adhere to contract requirements, project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Monitor project risks and proactively devise mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with EPC contracts, lender requirements, permitting conditions, and reporting obligations.
• Oversee compliance related to:
• Interconnection Agreements
• Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) requirements
• Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
• Environmental and regulatory standards
• Manage project energization, initial in-service dates, commissioning activities, and the achievement of commercial operation.
• Ensure all contractual conditions precedent are fulfilled before declaring commercial operation.
• Facilitate project turnover with the Operations team to guarantee a successful transition into long-term operations and maintenance.
• Confirm completion of punch list items, turnover documentation, warranties, as-built drawings, and project closeout deliverables.
• Foster continuous improvement initiatives by developing project processes, reporting tools, performance metrics, and documentation standards.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• 2-5 years of project management experience in utility-scale solar, renewable energy, power generation, or heavy industrial construction.
• Strong comprehension of utility-scale solar project development and EPC execution.
• Excellent contract administration and vendor management experience.
• Familiarity with transmission and interconnection processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and quality management practices.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Located at the project site, with the ability to travel to other project locations.
• Capable of working in outdoor construction settings and navigating active job sites.
• Occasional extended hours may be necessary to support project milestones and commissioning activities.
