User Experience Design Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Participate in design projects from conception through to launch and beyond.

• Work collaboratively with product managers to define product requirements and enhance user experience, usability, performance, and software application efficiency.

• Generate multiple concepts and prototypes for internal purposes, usability evaluations, and customer feedback.

• Utilize rapid prototyping and user engagement to guide design choices.

• Collaborate with developers to ensure technical feasibility and support interface development.

• Engage with end users to evaluate and document their needs and use cases.

• Contribute to the formulation of high-level design patterns and specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BA or MA in HCI or a related field.

• Preferred experience in cross-platform projects (web, mobile, installed).

• Strong abilities in systems thinking.

• Skills in UX concept development and wireframing.

• Proficiency in UI architecture and feature scoping.

• Experience in UX design.

• Basic understanding of software.

• Strong visual sensibilities.

• Competent to expert knowledge of Adobe CC, Figma, and Abstract.

• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS, and other web libraries.

• Knowledge of UI frameworks such as Material Design, iOS, and Bootstrap.

• User-centered design approach and familiarity with common UX methodologies.

• Exceptional critical listening, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

• Preferred experience with audio or AV/IT products.

• A portfolio showcasing work samples is required.

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
