US Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Functions as an Individual Contributor managing Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, Taxation, Budget Controllership, and other related responsibilities for a small US-based company.

• Oversee workload allocation, guarantee timely execution of accounting tasks, and offer coaching and constructive feedback.

• Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

• Examine reconciliations prepared by staff, maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger, and supervise purchasing cycles in alignment with company policies.

• Assist with external audits, budgeting, forecasting, and enhancements to policies/internal controls.

• Ensure adherence to payroll regulations and labor laws, manage tax filings, and address financial data inquiries from management or regulatory bodies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a US-based accounting setting, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.

• In-depth understanding of US GAAP principles.

• Previous experience with ERP systems.

• Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.

• Experience in supporting payroll and financial reporting processes.

• Demonstrated experience in cost accounting with a solid grasp of job costing concepts and procedures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong capabilities in people management and team leadership.

• Exceptional interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.
