This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research and document intricate accounting issues while preparing technical accounting memorandums for review and approval by finance leadership.
• Assist in the application of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 for subscription and telehealth agreements, accruals, leases, equity and equity-based compensation, business combinations, and other complex transactions.
• Evaluate significant and unusual transactions and provide guidance to finance leadership on appropriate accounting treatment.
• Facilitate acquisitions, new business arrangements, intercompany transactions, and strategic initiatives from an accounting perspective.
• Aid in the monthly and annual financial closing processes and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements along with footnote disclosures.
• Prepare audit support materials, including PBC items, audit-ready workpapers, and supplementary schedules.
• Collaborate daily with the external audit team and manage technical accounting issues that arise during audits.
• Develop and uphold accounting policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controls across a multi-entity organization.
• Construct schedules and estimates for chargeback and refund reserves, revenue cutoffs, and reconciliations from merchant processors to the general ledger.
• Offer technical insights during ERP evaluations and implementations.
• Collaborate with operational accounting to translate technical positions into clear, repeatable journal entries.
• Achieve first-year objectives, including the annual GAAP audit, revenue recognition memorandums, intercompany and consolidation workpapers, and an accounting policy manual.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA is highly preferred.
• Approximately 5–8+ years of advancing accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ownership of ASC 606 positions is preferred.
• Public accounting experience, ideally with a national or Big Four firm, is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to rapidly growing, multi-entity businesses is advantageous.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, DTC subscription, or e-commerce is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, research, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Capacity to create workpapers, policies, and processes and articulately explain rationale to auditors, lenders, and non-accountants.
• Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is mandatory.
• A reliable personal desktop or laptop computer is required.
• Headphones suitable for video conferencing are necessary.
• Consistent access to high-speed internet is essential.
• Base salary ranging from $135,000 to $165,000.
• Profit-sharing opportunity; recent payouts for positions at this level have been around 4% of base salary.
