US Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Execute month-end closing activities, which include reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and variance analysis.

• Facilitate the audit process by preparing schedules, providing necessary documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring precision and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Provide support for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll-related entries as necessary.

• Conduct financial analyses to aid business decisions and identify opportunities for process enhancements.

• Create and maintain Excel-based reports and models to monitor performance and financial metrics.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt and accurate financial reporting.

• Keep informed about accounting regulations, company policies, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both audit and corporate accounting.

• Familiarity with month-end closing processes and reconciliations.

• Previous experience with U.S.-based companies or knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and capability to meet deadlines.

• **Preferred Skills**

• Experience in a public accounting firm or shared services/BPO environment.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP/accounting systems.

• Strong teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate in a remote or global setting.
