This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform maintenance and replace large components on wind turbine generators across the United States.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines.
• Supervise contractors during projects.
• Contribute to team goals with an emphasis on safety, quality, and effective execution.
• Assist Field Engineers and Lead Field Specialists in their tasks.
• Complete necessary training to meet Up Tower Qualifications standards.
• Participate in pre-job meetings that address lift plans, LOTO, schedules, weather conditions, hazards, and job site or landowner specifications.
• Help prepare sites and coordinate labor and materials with minimal oversight.
• Record work activities using computer-based service reporting systems.
• Relay site status updates to engineering teams, clients, and management.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, or completion of a Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, renewable energy, or a related sector.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for 90% of the time.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to handle repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
• Capability to climb towers reaching heights of up to 300 feet.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
• Must meet OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300 lbs maximum.
• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematic diagrams.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Competent in writing reports and performing basic calculations.
• Willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry environments.
• Availability for rotating shift schedules 24/7.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
