This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop comprehensive training materials (presentations, manuals, video conferencing, and in-person sessions) for both new and existing underwriting staff to enhance underwriting skills, system proficiency, and compliance knowledge at Ledgebrook University.
• Enhance and expand content for e-learning, virtual instructor-led training, and in-person workshops.
• Regularly update training materials to align with changes in appetite and internal software/systems.
• Collaborate with the Underwriting Excellence team to assess training, technology, and process improvement needs.
• Ensure compliance with internal underwriting guidelines and external regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and schedule virtual onboarding and training sessions for new hire underwriters with the LBU Officer, subject matter experts, and other designated stakeholders.
• Manage all aspects of in-person workshops (Road Shows), including site selection, budget management, and execution of on-site logistics.
• Promote upcoming training opportunities and workshops to employees to foster high participation rates.
• Facilitate training on insurance appetite and company-specific systems.
• Assist in onboarding new hires by providing necessary training and ensuring compliance.
• Maintain, track, and update employee training records.
• Collaborate with the UW Excellence Team to identify skill gaps, performance challenges, and training requirements within the Underwriting team.
• Proactively seek and act on feedback from trainees and stakeholders.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Professional Liability Underwriter or a Professional Liability Subject Matter Expert in Allied Healthcare, Miscellaneous PL (including Real Estate, Insurance Agents/Brokers, Consultants), or Cyber Liability.
• Proficient in designing and producing instructional materials, such as educational modules, onboarding resources, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong project management and scheduling abilities to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and presentations.
• Knowledgeable in various learning technologies, including LMS, e-learning platforms, and video conferencing tools.
• Demonstrates adaptability in response to evolving technology, underwriting appetite, and organizational goals.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills to engage trainees and collaborate with other subject matter experts.
