Underwriting Service Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Ensure the delivery of account services not only meets but surpasses customer expectations.

• Leverage customer service expertise, established procedures, and software tools to guarantee that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are fulfilled.

• Collaborate across functions, taking responsibility for analyzing critical information, determining suitable actions, and resolving issues.

• Work in partnership with underwriters, corporate resources, and global teams to ensure that both internal and external commitments are achieved.

• Manage the issuance of policies and endorsements.

• Handle file documentation and set-up tasks.

• Order, prepare, and/or update reports as needed.

• Conduct policy rating and/or initial data entry into the rating model.

• Process various underwriting transactions and requests efficiently.

• Communicate with brokers for information as requested by underwriters.

• Manage booking and invoicing processes.

• Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar or related field is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

• Committed to customer satisfaction.

• Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team.

• Self-motivated with a sense of personal accountability and urgency.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
