This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Supervise a high-achieving team focused on commercial lines underwriting.

• Direct underwriting strategies and make pivotal decisions regarding complex accounts.

• Collaborate closely with agents to foster quality growth.

• Mentor and develop underwriters to ensure consistent risk assessment.

• Align pricing strategies with exposure to secure robust business results.

• Offer guidance on challenging accounts while enhancing agency relationships.

• Lead the recruitment, coaching, training, and development of the underwriting team.

• Work in partnership with regional leadership to execute underwriting updates and business strategies.

• Oversee team workload, performance, and overall portfolio results.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• A minimum of six years of experience in commercial lines underwriting or a related field.

• Preferred insurance designations, such as CPCU and CIC.

• Comprehensive knowledge of underwriting and risk assessment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with sound decision-making skills.

• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

• Capability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present before groups.

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate the team.
