This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Manage incoming phone calls and correspondence from agents and insured individuals related to submissions, processing requests, agent appointments, and general inquiries regarding Collectibles.
• Order inspection reports as directed by the underwriter.
• Create recommendation letters and monitor policies for compliance with recommendations.
• Ensure that cancellations are processed in accordance with state regulations and policy terms.
• Reach out to producers to collect all necessary account information.
• Provide assistance in answering phone calls from producers.
• Serve as a liaison between various departments and Underwriting to guarantee accurate policy issuance and proper premium booking and billing.
• Support Underwriters in obtaining, reviewing, and evaluating documents such as applications, requests from insureds, and any other relevant information to assess risk, underwriting, and appropriate placement.
• Process non-premium endorsements.
• Address correspondence from internal and external customers within a 24-hour timeframe.
• Offer additional technical and clerical support as required by underwriting staff and management.
• Exhibit a strong customer focus by understanding customer needs and expectations while implementing the Company’s service standards.
• Participate in underwriting meetings and events.
• Build and maintain relationships with agent partners, underwriters, and stakeholders.
• Proactively share findings and collaborate closely with the underwriting team, fostering a partnership-oriented approach to achieve shared objectives.
• 1-2 years of experience in an underwriting department or a similar customer support position within an insurance company; a college degree is preferred.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in a Windows-based environment with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet applications.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work accurately with detailed information.
• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with producers via telephone and electronic correspondence.
• Completion of insurance-related coursework is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to pursue a Property and Casualty Producer license within one year of employment.
