This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the management of service escalations, which includes investigating the escalation, preparing the referral, securing approval, and documenting guidance for service personnel.
• Conduct root cause analyses and generate reports on service escalations to uncover areas for enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address training requirements for the company and its products.
• Assist in the creation and drafting of Underwriting manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support the identification and development of Operations Reporting initiatives.
• Execute screening processes for Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) referrals in the U.S. and Canada, and provide necessary reports to the insurance provider.
• Complete the underwriting referral process for suspicious claims activities and undertake any subsequent underwriting actions in collaboration with Platform Operations.
• Facilitate and contribute to the monthly review of Bordereaux reporting for the insurance provider.
• Assist in conducting internal audits and support the annual underwriting and claims audits, which includes gathering files, providing general assistance, and coordinating with the insurance provider.
• Monitor and process California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) requests.
• Aid in the investigation of all regulatory complaints, working in close partnership with the Compliance Specialist.
• Perform proactive monitoring of the competitive landscape regarding filed products and filing activities.
• Conduct ad hoc research and/or projects as required (e.g., emerging issues, competitor changes).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector.
• Experience in Pet Insurance and/or Insurtech is advantageous.
• Possess a general understanding of insurance, operations, policy forms, IT applications, and regulatory compliance mandates.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize resources for independent problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, organizational skills, and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
• Display intellectual curiosity and a commitment to learning and process improvement.
• Capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to independently analyze and address complex issues.
• Proficient in researching topics, organizing information, and clearly conveying findings.
