This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Oversee the preparation of renewals for a designated portfolio, ensuring profitability, retention, and pricing goals are met.
• Assess account risk profiles and establish renewal eligibility in line with underwriting guidelines.
• Identify items requiring higher authorization and compile analyses to support approval processes.
• Guarantee the quality of submissions by verifying classifications, examining loss runs, and coordinating rating activities.
• Receive, prioritize, and organize new business submissions for underwriter assessment.
• Implement pricing updates directed by underwriting and compile proposal materials for review.
• Cultivate relationships with agents and brokers to enhance retention and facilitate new business opportunities.
• Act as the main point of contact for agent inquiries, addressing endorsement, renewal, and policy-related concerns.
• Review and authorize endorsements, reinstatements, and cancellations within the defined authority.
• Evaluate the effects of policy changes by analyzing coverage details, claims history, and loss experiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide timely solutions for agents and insured parties.
• Offer operational and underwriting assistance while gaining expertise in EMC’s underwriting preferences, tools, and systems.
• Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• Minimum of one year in the insurance industry or related field is preferred.
• Experience with large commercial accounts, particularly those with premiums of $500K+, loss-sensitive programs, and complex risk exposures, is highly desirable.
• A bachelor’s degree may fulfill the insurance industry experience requirement.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in accurate data entry are essential.
• Competent personal computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft products are necessary.
• Basic understanding of insurance terminology is required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are important.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
• Excellent negotiation skills are necessary.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team is expected.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report according to company standards is mandatory if driving.
