Underwriting Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage consistently with Ledgebrook’s underwriters and wholesale trading partners via phone, virtually, or in-person to independently facilitate various transactions or with minimal guidance.

• Provide exceptional underwriting support and maintain a high standard of service excellence.

• Play a role in developing a profitable portfolio of E&S business across a range of expanding lines of business and coverages.

• Aim to innovate processes and procedures while focusing on creating efficiencies and quality to meet or surpass overall requirements in a risk-differentiated manner.

• Commit to a continuous learning journey with an emphasis on delivering an outstanding customer service experience to both internal and external clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in general/technical E&S underwriting support across multiple lines of business and coverages.

• Proficiency in managing the submission process, including reviewing for completeness to facilitate account clearance and setup.

• Knowledge of basic underwriting data analysis to execute submission triage activities, such as reviewing submission information against underwriting appetite and guidelines to assist underwriting personnel with eligibility determination and prioritization of opportunities.

• Capability to gather necessary information from brokers, organize and maintain file documentation, and facilitate transactions with other underwriting support resources.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks and projects while focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines.

• Familiarity with company appetites and delegated underwriting authorities.
