Ukrainian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Ensure that all messages are rendered accurately and completely without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication with and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Ukrainian'.

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare industry is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
