This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design, develop, and implement UiPath automations to process and upload around 59,000 Position Descriptions into the specified OPM staffing platform.
• Create scalable and robust workflows for high-volume document ingestion and structured data extraction.
• Conduct automation mainly through attended bots and configure UiPath components for unattended execution when necessary.
• Develop custom activities, reusable components, and integrations utilizing UiPath Studio and .NET-based scripting.
• Establish processes for error handling, retries, exception capturing, and audit logging.
• Address issues related to missing data, version conflicts, corrupted files, and other exceptional cases.
• Integrate workflows with OPM’s staffing platform through APIs, web forms automation, secure authentication, or approved methods.
• Verify field-level mapping between HHS Position Description data and input fields of the OPM platform.
• Oversee production bot performance and optimize workflows for enhanced speed, stability, and error reduction.
• Generate operational reports on processing counts, success rates, exception logs, and trends.
• Collaborate with HR subject matter experts, project managers, data analysts, and OPM stakeholders to finalize rules and automation logic.
• Offer insights on RPA best practices, scalability, and risk management.
• Assist with troubleshooting during go-live, stabilization, and transition to ongoing operations.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in developing automations using UiPath Studio.
• Proven expertise with UiPath Orchestrator, Robot, and Data Service.
• Experience in configuring and deploying both attended and unattended automation.
• Proficiency in .NET-based scripting, encompassing VB.NET or C#, for the development of custom activities.
• Familiarity with API integration, web form automation, and secure authentication techniques.
• Strong grasp of RPA error-handling methodologies, exception management, and audit logging.
• Experience in processing large volumes of structured or semi-structured documents, including extracting data from PDFs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to engage with non-technical HR stakeholders.
• UiPath certification is preferred.
• Previous experience with federal government clients or HR modernization initiatives is preferred.
• Knowledge of OPM systems, federal Position Description processes, or HR IT platforms is preferred.
• Experience with document AI/OCR tools is preferred.
• Capability to obtain and maintain any necessary federal suitability or clearance.
• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must be able to secure and uphold a Public Trust clearance.
