UI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and operate contemporary web applications, APIs, backend services, and integrations across distributed systems.

• Create intuitive, high-performing, accessible, and maintainable user experiences utilizing Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and associated frontend technologies.

• Provide support for cloud-native applications, APIs, data integrations, and related services, with Azure experience being advantageous.

• Engage with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability tools, and deployment processes to ensure the delivery of reliable production software.

• Collaborate with product, UX, engineering, infrastructure, and management teams; communicate effectively and assist in advancing projects through uncertainties.

• Responsibly utilize AI-assisted development tools while retaining control over design decisions, testing, security, maintainability, and production readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software design and development.

• Strong experience in frontend development with a preference for Angular, or similar modern frameworks like React, Vue, Next, or Nuxt.

• A solid grasp of frontend architecture, state management, responsive UI development, asynchronous programming, and reactive patterns such as RxJS or Redux.

• Experience in backend development using C# and modern .NET, ideally .NET 8 or later; familiarity with Node.js, TypeScript, Scala, or functional backend development is a plus.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, API gateways, authentication and authorization patterns, SQL and NoSQL concepts, and cloud-native services, with Azure experience being an advantage.

• Proficiency with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and testing practices using tools like GitHub Actions, Bicep, New Relic, Application Insights, Jasmine, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted developer tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot, with the capability to critically assess AI-generated code and produce maintainable, well-tested software.

• Familiarity with LLM integration concepts, reusable AI workflows, MCP-enabled capabilities, Kafka, or event streaming is beneficial.

• Proven experience in developing production mobile applications for both iOS and Android, including requirements interpretation, application design, implementation, testing, debugging, release support, and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of coordinating deployments, documenting decisions, mentoring colleagues, and making informed trade-offs while navigating through ambiguity.
