This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot UAS systems along with their supporting infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and address hardware, software, network, and system integration challenges.
• Facilitate the integration of UAS platforms with external airspace services, such as flight authorization systems, Remote ID, weather services, and airspace data feeds.
• Assist with real-time airspace coordination, cooperative UAS deconfliction, and dynamic airspace management.
• Collaborate with government personnel, airspace managers, UAS operators, and other stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant flight operations.
• Support integration and coordination with air domain awareness and Counter-UAS systems.
• Provide technical reach-back support and liaise with engineering teams for issue resolution, system updates, configuration changes, and capability enhancements.
• Develop, maintain, and update system documentation, configuration baselines, technical records, and operational logs.
• Conduct user training and aid in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with site surveys, system installations, integration activities, testing, exercises, sustainment, and operational system support.
• Collect and analyze system and operational data to evaluate performance, identify issues, and support technical recommendations.
• Utilize test instrumentation and telemetry data for system evaluation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
• Participate in flight test activities and UAS system validation in both operational and test environments.
• Work with engineering and technical teams to convert operational observations and test results into actionable technical insights.
• Stay informed about relevant FAA, DoD, USAF, and installation requirements related to UAS operations and low-altitude airspace management.
• Experience with UAS and/or Counter-UAS systems.
• 5–7 years of experience in flight test engineering, UAS testing, or aerospace systems validation.
• Familiarity with telemetry systems and flight test instrumentation.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, data collection, and visualization tools.
• Ability to convert complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience with technical documentation and test reporting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues in dynamic operational settings.
• Capacity to work independently in remote and field environments while effectively coordinating with government, engineering, and operational stakeholders.
• Experience with UAS platforms, UAS Traffic Management (UTM), or digital airspace management systems.
• Knowledge of the integration of UAS with air domain awareness and C-UAS systems.
• Understanding of RF systems, sensors, or aviation-related technologies.
• Experience supporting DoD, USAF, or multinational-level operations.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification.
• Background in system documentation, configuration management, and systems control processes.
• Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering environments.
• Knowledge of low-altitude airspace management concepts and UAS architecture.
• Ability to assess system performance and diagnose technical issues in real-time.
• Skill in managing multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for coordination across diverse stakeholders.
• Adaptability to evolving technologies, operational requirements, and mission needs.
• Attention to detail in system configuration, documentation, testing, and operational execution.
• Capability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with government personnel, UAS operators, airspace managers, engineering teams, and external partners.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–75% to supported DoD and USAF installations and other mission locations.
