Turkish VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you are interpreting in, particularly healthcare and medical fields.

• Ensure all messages are conveyed accurately and completely, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest quality of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Demonstrate a strong desire to acquire new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader as necessary.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Turkish".

• At least 1 year of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and a tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
