Tugboat Trip Pilot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and its support equipment.

• Enforcing the Company's safety and environmental policies.

• Inspiring the crew to adhere to these policies effectively.

• Delivering orders in a clear and concise fashion.

• Evaluating safety measures and pollution prevention initiatives.

• Reporting any defects and other issues that may affect safe operations to the Company.

• Assessing and coordinating on-board training needs in collaboration with the Company.

• Ensuring that all safety-related information is current and accessible to all crew members.

• Reviewing on-board contingency strategies and operational procedures.

• Documenting non-conformities and incidents involving personnel or equipment.

• Seeking assistance from the Company as necessary.

• Providing the crew with employee scheduling details.

• Managing the vessel's budget and contributing to cost efficiency as directed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess experience as a U.S.C.G. MOTV licensed Captain with towing endorsements for Western Rivers, Oceans, and/or Near Coastal waters.

• Must hold a valid TWIC (receipts are NOT accepted).

• Must have a current driver's license.

• Must be capable of working in various weather conditions.

• Must be able to carry, push/pull, and/or lift materials weighing up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to fulfill USCG physical examination standards.
