This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras, +3 more states.
• Prepare, review, and file legal documents and court submissions.
• Engage with clients, courts, experts, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Organize legal events, meetings, and important case milestones.
• Coordinate preparations for hearings and activities related to case readiness.
• Conduct reviews of documents and identify pertinent issues.
• Keep track of case deadlines, milestones, and upcoming court obligations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, affidavits, declarations, discovery documents, subpoenas, agreements, and court orders.
• Manage trust administration and conservatorship issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal strategies.
• Oversee assigned caseloads, ensuring timely progress of matters.
• Provide insights on workflow enhancements and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to firm policies and legal standards.
• Assist attorneys with preparations for hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Help with organizing documents, scanning, filing, and managing records.
• Maintain precise records of both billable and non-billable hours.
• Deliver status updates to clients and members of the legal team.
• Keep client files and case management systems current and organized.
• Review the California Probate Code, California Rules of Court, and other relevant regulations.
• Perform legal research and analysis related to trust administration, conservatorships, and probate matters.
• Draft letters, reports, legal summaries, chronologies, and supporting case documentation.
• At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal.
• Significant experience in California Trust Administration, Trust Management, and Conservatorship matters is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
• Preferred experience with California courts, probate procedures, conservatorship matters, and trust administration processes.
• Expertise in case management.
• Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation.
• Experience with court filings.
• Skills in legal research and case analysis.
• Ability to manage calendars and deadlines effectively.
