Tribal Partnerships and Engagement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish and cultivate enduring, trust-based relationships with Tribal communities, organizations, and leadership throughout the U.S. West Coast.

• Spearhead community outreach and engagement initiatives in a manner that is respectful, responsive, and in alignment with community priorities and timelines.

• Act as a consistent and dependable liaison between Kambo and Tribal partners, ensuring that relationships are nurtured with care and integrity.

• Assist communities in comprehending and accessing energy efficiency, housing, and clean energy opportunities that resonate with their goals and needs.

• Attentively listen to community priorities and relay those insights into internal discussions, program development, and strategic planning.

• Represent Kambo at community meetings, gatherings, conferences, and events with professionalism, humility, and cultural sensitivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in community engagement, relationship-building, partnerships, outreach, program coordination, or related fields.

• Proven experience working with Tribal communities, organizations, or governments, or personal experience within Tribal communities.

• Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, with a strong ability to foster trust across diverse groups and environments.

• Capacity to listen attentively, navigate discussions with cultural awareness and humility, and develop relationships over time.

• Comfortable operating independently in a remote, dynamic environment while maintaining organization and accountability.

• Willingness and capacity to travel frequently for in-community engagement and relationship-building.
