This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Monitor all deadlines related to tribal student submissions to ensure timely requests and delivery of documents to tribal higher education offices for both new and returning tribal funding.

• Obtain necessary documentation from the registrar’s office and verify that schedules, enrollment agreements, admission letters, and other paperwork adhere to university and tribal policies.

• Conduct preliminary reviews of student schedules, including organizing or requesting the appropriate first class.

• Provide guidance to Tribal Operations Specialists and students about eligibility for tribal funding and benefits.

• Evaluate and address potential funding implications resulting from changes in schedules.

• Offer advice to accounting and finance advisors on the application of tribal funding.

• Audit and resolve issues related to funding surpluses or deficits, fund applications including cost of attendance, and both traditional and non-traditional deadlines.

• Assist the Non-Federal Resources department with tribal financial needs assessment forms and the application of tribal funds within Title IV academic years.

• Collaborate with Tribal Operations Specialists, internal departments, and tribal organizations to enhance student retention and facilitate tribal funding.

• Execute additional tasks as required or identified.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree.

• At least three (3) years of experience in higher education or processing tribal scholarships.

• Prior experience with tribal enrollment and finance procedures, including understanding Title IV funding guidelines.

• Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.

• Effective telephone and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.

• Familiarity with scholarship funding operations within the tribal community.
