This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations and prioritize patient care according to established evidence-based protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Address patient questions through both inbound and outbound calls, as well as secure messaging platforms.
• Offer suitable care recommendations or escalate issues to the relevant provider or care team member.
• Accurately document assessments, communications, and care coordination efforts in electronic medical records (EMRs) with precision and clarity.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care, including documentation for FMLA, ADA, and STD/LTD, along with coordination.
• Aid in the training and onboarding of new team members by participating in shadowing shifts (both as a learner and trainer) while promoting best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, clinical teams, and practice administrators to maintain continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain Sequence Health’s dedication to clinical excellence, integrity, and service in every interaction.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a compact licensure state.
• At least 5 years of experience across various direct patient care environments, including Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and Critical Care.
• Preferred experience in Women's Health or Labor and Delivery.
• Strongly preferred prior experience in remote RN triage or telephone-based care delivery.
• Proven clinical proficiency with robust critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of expressing empathy and clinical clarity through phone and written correspondence.
• Proficient in using EMRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Greenway) and standard office applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe, fax, etc.).
• Capability to work independently within scope while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
