This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.
• Deliver exceptional service to members throughout the entire loan origination process for Consumer Loans and Mortgages.
• Handle incoming calls in a high-volume contact center environment.
• Effectively assist members with questions regarding DCU loan products, the application process, and other loan-related inquiries.
• Skillfully originate and process consumer loan applications for vehicles, personal loans, and credit cards.
• Analyze credit reports to determine loan eligibility through automated underwriting and/or Loan Officer assessment.
• Examine necessary applicant documentation, including income verification and purchase agreements, among others.
• Comply with borrower/lender regulations and DCU’s internal policies and procedures.
• Complete mandatory training on compliance, DCU products/services, and lending standards.
• Contribute to DCU’s Success Sharing Goals by referring and cross-selling other DCU offerings.
• Meet performance expectations for schedule adherence, call efficiency, sales targets, and additional metrics.
• Soon become registered with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System to secure Mortgage Loan Originator licensing.
• Address general inquiries and originate Mortgage and Home Equity applications.
• Engage in performance development by being open to constructive feedback from Assistant Managers, Performance Leads, and Senior Specialists.
• Promote teamwork and work to enhance relationships between the Information Center Staff and personnel in DCU’s support departments.
• Precisely process transactions, file maintenance, and all other member requests.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in the Information Center and/or other Credit Union areas.
• Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned or requested.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of 6 months of prior experience in a contact center or lending environment is necessary.
• Exceptional communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
• Proficient in computer use with the ability to learn new software applications.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, multitasking, organization, and time management.
