This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Triage calls from oncology patients regarding treatment, surgery, and appointment details.
• Monitor and manage patient symptoms effectively.
• Oversee high-risk and complex patient care to reduce emergency department visits and hospital readmissions.
• Identify barriers to care and address the needs of patients, caregivers, and families.
• Offer tailored education, resources, and referrals to patients.
• Support physicians and PA-C/ARNP in patient and family interactions to resolve clinical issues.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation as requested.
• Establish and uphold professional boundaries with patients, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Enhance communication between the multidisciplinary cancer care team.
• Review, assess, and report on diagnostic tests.
• Deliver patient education and clinical guidance following chemotherapy, radiation, infusion treatments, and post-surgery.
• Act as a vital team player while adhering to Florida State Board of Nursing regulations.
• Must possess Registered Nurse multistate or Florida single-state licensure.
• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification is preferred.
• At least three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in oncology is required.
• Strong organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to swiftly prioritize and reprioritize tasks.
• Capability to cultivate collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
• Excellent written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong telephonic assessment and communication capabilities.
• Ability to operate independently and collaborate with a virtual team in a remote setting.
• Proficient in managing oncology side effects and triage processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Possess high-level critical-thinking abilities.
• Must comply with Florida State Board of Nursing regulations.
• Successful completion of background, drug, and nicotine screenings is required.
