Triage Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Handle incoming clinical inquiries from staff and patients via telephone; assess situations and escalate emergencies without delay.

• Collaborate closely with fellow mental health professionals, social workers, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to thoroughly address urgent issues.

• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers involved in patients’ treatment to guarantee smooth health management.

• Create and present training sessions on fundamental medical subjects for peer mental health workers and social workers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid RN license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state and readiness to obtain licensure in non-compact states.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.

• Background in working with populations encountering challenges such as serious mental illnesses, behavioral health issues, and/or substance use disorders.

• Experience in care management and coordination.
