Triage Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee inbound clinical inquiries from staff and patients via phone; appropriately triage and immediately escalate emergencies.

• Collaborate closely with peer mental health workers, social workers, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to comprehensively address acute issues.

• Facilitate care coordination with patients’ other healthcare providers to ensure effective health management.

• Create and conduct training sessions on fundamental medical topics for peer mental health workers and social workers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current RN license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state and a commitment to obtain licensure in non-compact states.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.

• Experience with populations facing challenges such as severe mental illness, behavioral health issues, or substance use disorders.

• Experience in care management and coordination.
