
Treasury Specialist, Construction Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare initial closing workbooks and imports for loan funding via Encompass (Construction products).
• Fund loans through a warehouse line and update Encompass as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Construction group and other departments on ad hoc requests such as payoffs, TCB draws, and modifications.
• Compile margin call reports for quarterly NMLS reporting.
• Generate monthly borrower billing statements for Construction and Builder loans.
• Reconcile loan advances related to the Reverse product.
• Prepare journal entries for the Reverse product, including Reverse securitization entries.
• Review wire activity processed in batches for accuracy and ensure amounts are correctly recorded and reconciled.
• Reconcile accounts and confirm that entries are clearing promptly and in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct multiple account reconciliations alongside daily bank reconciliations.
• Execute and thoroughly investigate monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger through LoanVision.
• Process deposits for corporate checks and record them appropriately.
• Strive to enhance team efficiency by suggesting process improvements.
• Cross-train in other Treasury functions and serve as a backup when necessary.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned, including short- and long-term projects.
• A Bachelor's Degree related to the position or equivalent experience is required.
• At least two years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Mortgage banking experience, particularly in construction accounting, is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, including debits and credits, reconciliations, balance sheets, and income statements.
• A general understanding of mortgage process rules, regulations, policies, and ethical standards regarding wire transfers.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is essential.
• Capability to analyze situations and determine the best course of action for issue resolution.
• High proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create formulas and use VLOOKUP.
• 10-key proficiency by touch is preferred.
• Prior experience with document retention software; AIQ experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
