Technical Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in technical accounting initiatives, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP or IFRS, including researching and implementing new accounting standards.

• Provide guidance on intricate accounting issues such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, commissions, business combinations, and consolidations.

• Oversee and enhance accounting policies to ensure they are in line with both financial and operational objectives.

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all technical accounting issues, offering support to operational teams to ensure accurate and compliant accounting transactions.

• Collaborate closely with the operations team to gain insights into business processes and identify chances to streamline accounting functions and boost operational efficiency.

• Work in conjunction with operational teams to ensure smooth integration between accounting systems and operational workflows.

• Assess current operational processes and suggest improvements to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting from an operational perspective.

• Guarantee timely and precise financial reporting of operational activities, promoting transparency between financial and operational performance.

• Manage special projects focused on operational enhancements, systems upgrades, and finance transformations.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, IT, legal) to outline and execute project scopes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

• Prepare and present annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and relevant statutory requirements.

• Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators and the progress of special projects.

• Ensure adherence to regulations and internal controls concerning financial reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification is mandatory).

• At least 5 years of experience in technical accounting.

• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and expertise in accounting for complex transactions.

• Demonstrated experience in driving operational enhancements, including process automation, system improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Familiarity with financial systems (ERP, BI tools) and the integration of operational systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to convert operational challenges into practical accounting solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization and articulating complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Robust project management capabilities, with the proficiency to lead multiple projects and achieve results on schedule and within scope.
