This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Strategically plan and coordinate resources to manage both routine and scheduled tasks while addressing inquiries from business units.
• Ensure the team receives effective training in their designated processes, with a thorough review of work products.
• Exemplify the department's core values in interactions with colleagues and develop practices that promote team member satisfaction, recognition, and engagement.
• Confirm that processes are operating efficiently and effectively, applying best practices and improvements uniformly across all finance-related functions.
• Maintain all balance sheet accounts to accurately reflect the financial position in compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Oversee and promote the LEAN Educated program and training within the team.
• Engage in the execution of FSSC strategy for continuous improvement, including shaping the cultural environment within the department.
• Assess and enhance financial controls and other elements related to risk measurement and mitigation.
• Manage service level agreement (SLA) expectations, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Has 2+ years of relevant prior experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience and relevant expertise.
• Advanced understanding of general accounting principles, practices, and theories - Preferred.
• Proficient in PC software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, or equivalent) - Preferred.
• Familiarity with MGM Resorts International gaming and financial systems (Tandem, CMS, Machine Accounting, CBS, Bravo Poker, XpertX, MLife, Showcase Strategy, Oracle, Archtics, Infogenesis, Coupa, OnBase, Opera, YARDI, AMT Direct, Cognos BI) - Preferred.
• Bilingual capabilities, with English as the primary or secondary language - Preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar resort or Financial Shared Services Center environment - Preferred.
