This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead and guide all on-site project personnel daily, ensuring adherence to approved procedures.
• Maintain effective communication with the customer contact to ensure all activities are well-coordinated.
• Oversee overtime, attendance, and daily meetings while establishing clear performance expectations.
• Ensure the project adheres to its schedule, making necessary adjustments and tracking daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
• Compile comprehensive records of daily activities, weather conditions, on-site personnel, issues, and communications.
• Maintain an up-to-date project manual that includes drawings, the current project schedule, QA records, customer sign-offs, and daily reports.
• Provide the Project Manager with regular updates on progress and any potential disruptions to the project schedule.
• Monitor crew activities, equipment operations, and nearby shipboard operations.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to address and resolve any challenges that may impede TSS’s production, including interfacing with customers, vendors, and management.
• Ensure that all employees, contractors, and visitors comply with TSS and customer safety requirements, use all required PPE, and understand emergency protocols.
• Oversee on-site inventory of consumables and notify the Project Manager when restocking is necessary.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned.
• Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to effectively supervise and coordinate teams in technical or trade settings.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Capable of reading and interpreting MS Project schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Project is highly preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues as they arise.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a strong dedication to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment; knowledge of maritime industry safety regulations is preferred.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully with team members and the Project Manager.
• Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to assume flexible roles in a small-company environment, including responsibilities that span multiple functions.
• Ability to gain and maintain access to government-controlled facilities, obtain a DBIDS credential, secure necessary security clearances, and hold a valid U.S. Driver’s License and U.S. Passport.
• Must successfully pass required pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check.
• Must provide proof of "U.S. Person" status as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR): a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
