• Serve as the on-site project leader responsible for planning, executing, and successfully completing Electronic Security projects for designated clients in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
• Carry out or assign tasks as needed to ensure the full execution and completion of assigned projects, which includes system programming, integration, installation coordination, network commissioning, and project closure.
• Create project plans and coordinate necessary resources to guarantee the timely and budget-friendly installation and completion of projects.
• Provide guidance to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administrative personnel as required.
• Carry out standard installations of hardware design and software programming according to established protocols.
• Oversee the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as needed.
• Confirm complete system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation.
• Generate accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation.
• Offer coaching, mentoring, and technical support to Security Technicians, Electrical Installers, System Designers, Subcontractors, and other less experienced team members.
• Ensure that all work performed complies with state, local, and Federal legal standards, and that Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety protocols.
• Assist in the selection, ordering, budgeting, and scheduling of materials to be procured for assigned projects using our web-based tool process.
• Effectively communicate project status updates to management as necessary and assist in monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin.
• Conduct site-specific training for owner/operators on the complete system, either independently or with assistance.
• Ensure that the owner/operator receives appropriate training.
• Provide the necessary documentation and manuals for system operation.
• Comply with safety standards, as well as local and national security and fire codes, with a strong emphasis on the safety of employees and subcontractors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• At least 5 years of field experience in the commercial or industrial Electronic Security sector is preferred.
• Hands-on technical experience with systems design, commissioning, and/or programming of Electronic Security Systems.
• Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general Windows environment.
• Capability to obtain and maintain necessary government security clearances as required.
