Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring that execution, safety, and quality standards are upheld throughout each phase.

• Supervise daily job site operations from mobilization to completion.

• Analyze project manuals, drawings, and specifications to facilitate execution.

• Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics to adhere to deadlines.

• Recognize risks, modify plans, and implement solutions to sustain progress.

• Ensure that all work adheres to design intent while accommodating field conditions.

• Lead Requests for Information (RFIs), inspections, and permitting processes until project closeout.

• Keep precise daily reports, including progress updates and photographs.

• Supervise the final project completion and client handoff.

• This position involves about 20% hands-on work to facilitate project execution as needed.

• Direct field staff and subcontractors to ensure productivity and accountability.

• Maintain project schedules and proactively address any delays.

• Enforce safety regulations and conduct weekly toolbox talks.

• Inspect work to confirm quality, accuracy, and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity within the construction industry.

• At least 5 years of experience in a related trade or field environment.

• Strong knowledge of commercial or retail construction processes.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications.

• Experience with project management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build preferred).

• Willingness to travel frequently and work nights/weekends as necessary.

• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening.
