Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring that execution, safety, and quality standards are upheld throughout all stages.

• Manage daily operations on the job site from mobilization to project completion.

• Analyze project manuals, drawings, and specifications to facilitate effective execution.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, manage schedules, and oversee site logistics to meet project deadlines.

• Identify potential risks, modify plans as necessary, and implement solutions to ensure ongoing progress.

• Ensure that all work is consistent with the design intent while also adapting to on-site conditions.

• Lead Requests for Information (RFIs), inspections, and permitting processes until project closeout.

• Maintain precise daily reports, including updates on progress and photographic documentation.

• Supervise the final project completion and the handoff to clients.

• Engage in approximately 20% hands-on work to assist with project execution as required.

• Direct field staff and subcontractors to promote productivity and accountability.

• Maintain project schedules and proactively manage any delays that arise.

• Enforce safety standards and conduct weekly toolbox talks.

• Inspect work to ensure quality, precision, and compliance with regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position within the construction industry.

• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant trade or field environment.

• Strong knowledge of commercial or retail construction processes.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications.

• Familiarity with project management tools (Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build preferred).

• Willingness to travel frequently and work nights or weekends as necessary.

• Capability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening.
