Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring that safety and quality standards are upheld at every stage.

• Direct daily operations on job sites from mobilization to final completion.

• Analyze project manuals, drawings, and specifications to facilitate execution.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, manage schedules, and handle site logistics to meet project deadlines.

• Recognize risks, modify plans as necessary, and implement solutions to sustain progress.

• Ensure all work is in line with design intentions while accommodating field conditions.

• Lead the processes for RFIs, inspections, and permitting through to project closeout.

• Maintain precise daily reports, including updates on progress and photographic documentation.

• Supervise the final stages of project completion and client handover.

• Involves approximately 20% of hands-on work to aid in project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity within the construction industry.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a trade or field environment.

• Strong knowledge of commercial or retail construction methodologies.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications.

• Experience with project management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build preferred).

• Willing to travel frequently and work nights/weekends as necessary.

• Must pass MVR, background checks, and drug screenings.
