Quotations Specialist – Small Plant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review the schedule for necessary work and the corresponding timeline.

• Analyze specifications, plans, and details to identify any potential issues.

• Organize meetings with Project Managers and Plant Sales Associates to review the overall project before commencing takeoff.

• Issue RFIs to engineers as required to resolve any issues.

• Conduct a thorough material takeoff.

• Annotate plans accordingly, checking and highlighting items that have been taken off.

• Input specification, phase, system, location, and notes as needed for each item.

• Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely receipt of pricing data.

• Document any specific qualifications or alternatives related to plans or specifications.

• Finalize takeoff and verify project data for accuracy before submitting to Sales Associates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in performing material takeoffs for Waterworks materials.

• Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of pipes, valves, fittings, and miscellaneous materials relevant to the waterworks industry.

• Proven knowledge of construction documents, including plans, detail drawings, P&ID drawings, specifications, bid forms, and front-end documents, as well as project management and construction administration.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on maintaining a high level of accuracy.

• Familiarity with wastewater treatment plants, booster pumps, and pump stations is a plus.

• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficient in handling electronic file management on a data server.

• Willingness to learn new technological advancements within our industry and operations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Knowledge of Planswift Estimating software is an advantage.
