Traveling Data Center Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Travel across the country to assist with ongoing data center construction projects

• Oversee multiple teams engaged in structured cabling and infrastructure installation

• Coordinate daily operations with clients, superintendents, and project stakeholders

• Supervise the installation of fiber optic and copper structured cabling

• Manage rack and stack setups

• Oversee the installation of basket tray and ladder rack systems

• Supervise overhead cable pathways and cable management solutions

• Oversee patch panels and cabinet constructions

• Manage general low-voltage infrastructure

• Monitor project timelines, workforce, and production targets

• Conduct quality assurance inspections to ensure installations align with customer specifications

• Analyze blueprints, floor plans, cable schedules, and project schematics

• Address field issues and relay project updates to management

• Enforce OSHA safety regulations and adhere to company safety protocols

• Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and onboarding of field technicians

• Travel to project sites as necessary to support mobilization, production, and project closure activities

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in managing data center or mission-critical construction projects

• Strong expertise in structured cabling

• Strong expertise in fiber optics

• Strong expertise in rack and stack operations

• Experience in basket tray installation

• Experience with ladder rack systems

• Proficient in cable routing and management

• Familiarity with data center infrastructure

• Experience supervising field technicians and subcontractors

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Comfortable working in active construction settings

• Willingness to travel nationwide 100%

• Valid driver's license required

• Ability to fly regularly

• Knowledge and enforcement of OSHA safety regulations
