This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise and manage the delivery of professional, technical, and administrative support for Head Start and Early Head Start grant recipients.
• Monitor and ensure the quality of BCT’s services for the client.
• Manage client interactions and maintain the overall client relationship.
• Lead and oversee on-site responsibilities by planning, executing, monitoring, and enhancing work and related processes.
• Establish and nurture a positive relationship with the client.
• Ensure adherence to project administration and compliance requirements.
• Lead, direct, and manage a team of five BCT staff members.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and adjust program work and processes according to a detailed plan.
• Take responsibility for program deliverables and outcomes.
• Develop systems and procedures that support project activities, efficiency, and improvement.
• Create communication and quality control plans.
• Act as the on-site point of contact and primary liaison with the client.
• Prepare timely and accurate Monthly Status Reports and Task Summary Reports.
• Oversee the administration of discretionary grant awards.
• Review grantee requests to ensure program and fiscal compliance.
• Maintain official electronic grant files.
• Review programmatic status reports and monitor the findings of those reviews.
• Assist in resolving issues, non-compliances, and deficiencies.
• Assign staff duties, set performance expectations, and establish deadlines.
• Monitor productivity and work quality, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
• Foster a team-oriented atmosphere and support staff development.
• Address complaints and issues, involving senior leaders and Human Resources when necessary.
• Engage in hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations, BCT policies, and client procedures.
• Bachelor’s Degree in management, business administration, public administration, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
• Over 10 years of relevant and progressively responsible professional experience managing client services projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
• At least 6 years of progressive supervisory experience.
• Expertise and experience in budget oversight and management.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, managing, and enhancing complex, high-profile, multi-faceted projects.
• Experience in implementing quality assurance systems that enhance client services.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate high-performing teams.
• Skilled in effectively managing multiple priorities and negotiating necessary changes with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working effectively within web-based systems, databases, and tracking systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of producing high-quality memoranda, presentations, reports, and correspondence.
• Ability to perform data management, analysis, aggregation, and summary reporting.
• Competence in reviewing, synthesizing, and presenting data from various sources.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, clients, remote colleagues, and supervisors.
• Skilled at developing or enhancing frameworks, standards, procedures, and information-management solutions.
• Capability to solve problems, make decisions, suggest improvements, and manage change both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to anticipate client and staff needs while exercising sound judgment.
• Proficient in working effectively in a remote environment, participating in virtual meetings, appearing on camera as necessary, and contributing to meeting content.
• Must be willing to travel within the Office of Head Start West region as required.
• Must be able to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of the Federal Grant Life Cycle is preferred.
• Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start or other early childhood programs is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Head Start Program Performance Standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws is a plus.
• Experience with SharePoint and Monday.com is preferred.
